I recently bought a cowfish 20 days ago and on the 8th or 9th day he was in a quarantine tank without any medication I noticed a spot or two. And then the spots multiplied but never got to bad but on the 4th day they started to disappear and kept getting better after they got better I put him in my display tank yesterday that has other fish. And now the spots are back But there’s more. Does anyone know what it is I have a picture below is it ich, velvet, flukes, lympho or what? The spots you can see are on his fins but there are some on his body

These guys are susceptible to lymphocystis as their water quality requirements are high. This CC appears to be lympho which is viral and requiring jmsintenabce and good diet
A challenge Also is getting these guys to eat and remain eating.
What is your: ammonia-ph-nitrate and salinity readings?
What test kits are you using?

I’m using api test kits and everything is good. Hes eating anything I give him which is brine, nori, and flakes. Could it just be from stress because I moved him into a new tank ?

Moving yes and APU test kits are notorious for false readings and your levels are likely higher
I would take a water sample to a trusted LFS that does not use API test kits and see what readings they come up with.
That may be the water quality concern

Can you get a short video? I'm seeing marine ich here. Cowfish get that pretty often. The timing, the spots being on both the body and the fins and the number of spots coming and going, but generally increasing in number all point to ich to me.

That would be a relief if it was ich and not velvet. I’ll post a video

here’s the vid. It is worse today. I turned the whites on so you could see it better

Those spots are larger and more diffuse than they seemed to be in the original photo. That muddies my diagnosis of ich....doesn't rule it out completely, but I can say this does not look like velvet at all.

Observational quarantine is always risky. What about moving it back to the QT and treating the cowfish with a standard quarantine process? You may have to move the clown over as well, if they catch it.

Ok do you think I could copper cupramine on him because cowfish are sensitive to copper. And I have other fish in the tank 2 clowns 2 tangs and a damsel and I already have fish in my quarantine tank so could I just do the cowfish

I can't tell you about Cupramine and cowfish, but you can dose them with coppersafe.
