Hi all!
Anyone know what’s happening whit my butterfly? Last evening was everything ok, i mean looks ok, nothing different. in the morning i found colour less fin. Sleeping on same place where 2 shrimps.

Fin rot like that is a symptom of a bacterial infection. The best antibiotic for CBBs and other butterflies and angels is NFG. It is however less available than the more common meds that make up the alternative treatment: The Trifecta of Metro + Furan2 + Kanaplex. But NFG is the preferred as it works faster IMO on these types of fish. Beautiful fish BTW.

Many thanks. Not easy to get NFG in uk...:/ nearly impossible. I will try to get something on tomorrow from the local shop.

If you can’t get NFG, Furan-2 and sulfaplex or Triple Sulfa together work similarly.

Do you have acriflavine or methylene blue? An antiseptic bath might help buy you some time.

Fin rot is as mentioned typically bacterial. Any aggressive tankmates or anyone chase it?
