CP vs Malarone

So I tried to call in an Rx for CP today. I was told by several pharmacies that CP is not available due to a manufacturing problem. It will not be back in pharmacies until Jan 20. Anyone ever try other antiparsitic meds such as Flagyl or Malarone for treatment of marine ich or velvet?

Flagyl is metronidazole; which treats brook, uronema, some intestinal worms and a few bacterial diseases.

Never used Malarone.
