I recommend fijicubes hob fuge. Doubt you will find one used though, I just bought one brand new. Works great

I forgot about them..they do have nice items and that might be my last resort being the cheapest...just wish I could get one a little cheaper or I might see from an acrylic guy I know If he can build one cheaper
 
alot of people mod fluval aquaclear HOB filters into hob fuges. i think intank makes an insert for it also. would be the next best and cheapest option.

ya I’ve seen those but not a big fan and feel to small to really do much same as a reactor style..I guess I’ll keep looking and if need just order..but thanks for your input
 
I have the CPR AquaFuge Large for sale (4.7g). It needs a new Rio pump which is ~$20. Stopped using it because I switched tanks when I moved and never found the pump again.
