@BenL what would you like to know:)

From just the side view picture it looks like you need a large return pump for more flow.

It's been running fine till today for some reason. Do pumps not say their gph rates on the back? What is the point of the aqua lifter? Is it just to keep the siphon during power outages or is it required for the overflow to run smoothly?

To pull the air out of the HOB so that it will not lose syphon.

Found it through googling it, it runs 500gph

The CPR requires a 660 GPH, I use a DC return pump rated for 1050 GPH and have it set at 75% one has tp factor in how much the water has to rise and distance to the DT from the sump

Problem solved, the vent hole on top was clogged

Good find, I still think more flow with a larger return pump. link this is the one I am using now

If you have a sucking noise I would suggest a stand pipe. link

Ohh ya I'm going to have to look into pumps, what size tank are you running yours on? By stand pipe you mean for the connection from the box to the sump right?

I have a 80 gallon water volume. Click the links in blue and they should and your question better.:)

The second link leads to a post about a marine betta for some reason
