Crab Hitchhikers

I had 2 hitchhikers on live rock, largest being dime size. Very shy, rarely come out of the rock. I identified them as Mithraculus forceps. Has anyone had experience with these?

I don't have any experience with that Species. I know that all crabs are Opportunistic and it's hit or miss with even ones considered reef safe. So I think it's more of if you want to take a chance or not. Just my opinion

Almost looks..... edible! Mind you, I would never eat anything from my tank. But goodness, I have changed my mind. And he seems to be missing a leg. Someone had a nice treat.

IMHO all crabs belong in the sump, just to be safe. They'll be able to get enough of a meal down there picking detritus.

Ive seen those sold as ruby crabs, apparently very similar to emerald crabs.
