Black tipped claws or sharp/ pointed tips =meat eater. Blunt or cup shaped claws, which for reefers applies to/ for emeralds there always green clamp circle cups looking tips on the claws.
Gorilla crabs looks similar to emerald but black sharp tips on claws. There bad. Commonly same size n colors, body fuzzy n so forth just the tips a emeralds. easy to mix up.
I'm thinking 75% not a emerald / not reef safe crab. as they don't look cup like on tips. more sharp tip like. But picture is a bit tuff to tell.
I'd catch him n put him in the sump when you can and watch him grow a bit.. they grow fast.
