So this guy was originally spotted over 7 months ago living in my HOB Refugium. Somehow it got out and into my display. Truthfully I thought it had died in the refugium when I stopped seeing it. so any ideas what it is?

He's a little dusty, but seems like a common emerald crab to me.
On a side note, I see you have mini brittles. Any chance you have too many and would like to sell me some? :D

I don't know of emerald's that dig under rock structures which this one did, do emerald's do that?
If by mini brittles you mean the tiny star fish, I've got lots of those and if I can figure out how to get them would be happy to you send you some.

Hmm... my emerald likes to go into the spaces between the rock and sand, but i've never seen it dig. Is it possible for you to take another picture? Preferably one from the front that shows his claws a little better

And yes, the tiny starfish in the picture is a mini brittle. Highly desirable and rarely available at my LFS's. I will pay you for a clump of them for sure. You can try a DIY trap or just spend a little time picking them off one by one after the lights go out. They generally come out of their hiding places to scavenge at night.

Xanthidae crab no good back to Refugium;)

I meant what specific features on the pictured crab? lol
It's crazy that you have enough experience to ID a dusty crab with claws not really showing. Bravo sir.
