This does not look like an emerald crab. Eye stalks are too far apart, top down profile of this crab shows more of a flat front. Claws look black and sharp instead of white and flat ended.

I would say this looks like a bad guy crab. Kind of looks like a gorilla crab based on the patterning of the shell and overall shape.

I'm not too used to seeing them out of the water though.

Full screen or zoom in on the picture and you will see the hairy legs my friend. The individual fibers are sticking together because it is out of water.
