Just noticed this small crab living in one of my Acros. No idea how he could have gotten in to my display. Have put in Emeralds and still see them occasionally but this is obviously not an Emerald. Not hairy. pretty small - maybe 1/2" body. Has not moved out of this Acro in the past few days since ive seen him - in fact I don't think he has even moved from this spot.

Would be difficult to catch but would like to know what Im dealing with.

Thanks!

@blaxsun Ive noticed when I feed he will move a little I assume in hopes of catching something passing by but never completely out of his spot in the acro. I notice no irritation spots to the acro.

Hard to tell but likely an Acro crab - most likely harmless but at the same time, I’ve seen non-safe crabs host in acros occasionally

This would be my emerald crab - although he leaves it alone for the most part. Quite hilarious seeing a 2.5" crab hanging out in an acro...

Definitely bandit acro crab, very common on wild acro colony's along with the red acro crab. There harmless, very good hiders and scared creatures. Very cool to watch though with it claw hanging out the acro trying to catch floating food in the water column
