Anyone ID this hitchhiker crab?

What did it hitchhike on (e.g., live rock)? Are the tips of the claws a dark red or black? It appears to be a stone crab.

To be honest I’m not sure what it came on. I haven’t added anything for months but only found him today. I think it could have been on a wild zoa colony.

I would say the tips are more black Than dark red. The legs seem striped with a small amount of “fuzz” like emerald crabs but no where near as much.

would you say it’s safe to put back into my tank?
 
I would say no. look like them claws can do some damage.

I wouldn’t. They aren’t as harmful as some, but they can be problematic.
