Hello I just added a crab and mushroom coral to my tank and when I woke up a checked on the tank the crab was dead and the mushroom coral had disappeared. I tested my parameters and everything seemed fine.
I am not sure what's going on.

How old is your tank?

Ph:8.0
Ammonia: between 0.25 or 0.50 but that could be a little high due to the crab being dead over night.
Nitrate:5.0 to 10.0
Nitrite:0

Was there any ammonia before the death? Any ammount of ammonia in a tank is deadly for livestock. How big is your tank?

It is only a 32g biocube, the ammonia definitely wasn't that high. So I am pretty sure the dead crab spiked the ammonia. I am going to do a five gallon water change. The only live stock I had before them was a clown fish but he got ich and is in quarantine.

If possible, you may even want to do a larger water change than that, maybe around 8-9 gallons. I would also add prime if you have it.

The tank hasn't fully cycled. I would not add anything else until you can show that the tank can metabolize ammonia.
Maybe but it has been a month and I used a live bacteria in a bottle to help the cycle.

I need to get some prime, I didnt even think I needed it because I use rodi water from my rodi filter lol.

I have the water mixes should I do a water change or wait? If I should wait I have another bottle of bacteria should I add some more?

I just did a 4g water change with some beneficial bacteria.

I did a 4 gallon water change and added some beneficial bacteria. Luckily my ammonia went down, because I just got my clean up crew today. So far everyone looks good.
