Crack overflow

I found out that a part of the inside of my overflow has a crack around 3/4 inch.
The leak outside is not that bad. its a very slow.
can i use the epoxy aqua clay and cover the crack inside?

Is that a bulkhead fitting where the crack is? Was it overtightened? I wouldn't use the clay, id instead use two part epoxy. Take the bulkhead out as I'm sure the crack extends underneath the nut shown in the pictture, otherwise it'll start seeping from your bulkhead.

im not too sure if it was overtightened. but i dont think i can take the bulkhead out. my hand can barely fit in the overflow. much less unscrew it. and its siliconed in place too.
is there any other way? like use the 2 part epoxy and cover the crack?

Could definitely try. But it may start leaking from underneath the bulkhead nut.

This is what i did under the bulkhead nut, because i thought the leak is in between the glass and the bulkhead. turns out theres a crack. i used the epoxy clay

Is that a crack in the glass? Is it an outside tank overflow? Is it a main panel of the tank that is cracked? Can you show a pic of the whole overflow?

I think that will work fine.

Not to seed any doubt, but if my tank had a crack on the bottom pane or any pane for that matter I'd be finding a new tank asap. If that crack starts to propagate you would have a catastrophe on your hands.

Your tank is now a ticking time bomb dude. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night knowing that it could give it at any moment.

Agreed that's why I was asking if the crack was in a main pane on the tank or just a pane on the overflow. The latter is much less of an issue. Crack in the main pane is a timebomb for sure!

I was under the impression the crack was in the overflow. Again, if it is, I wouldn't be too worried. If it IS in the main pane of the tank, then I couldn't relax until I replaced the tank.
