Just brought home my INT 75 (will probably do a build thread once I have things started proper), and I noticed these lines (specifically the top one) through the bottom. They run the length of the tank and are not quite straight. I'm not seeing a shadow or able to feel it from the inside so I'm hoping it's just glue from the leveling mat was preinstalled. Still going to leak test, but wanted additional opinions.

What about from the outside? Can you feel it with your fingernail from the outside of the tank?
Welcome to R2R by the way :)

That really looks like what you would see beneath a layer of clear plastic film.
Yeah like that protective plastic sheet they put over brand new electronics. The stuff that is extremely satisfying to peel off.

I think it is just air between the glass and the adhesive mat.

I don't think that's part of the tank. It could even be condensation between the tank and the mat. Pick up one end of the tank a couple of inches and see if it disappears.

Pretty sure the IM tanks come with a foam sheet stuck to the bottom(atleast both of my Nuvos did), this looks like seams from one that wasn't smoothed out properly and air is trapped between the film adhesive sheet and the tank itself.

Oh and BTW, we're all waiting for the build thread!:)

Thanks! I've been a non-account lurker for a while and looking forward to hanging out! Nothing from the outside since there is the foam layer between the glass and the base glass.

Kinda where I was leaning (and hoping), just a not great or uniform glue job on the pre-attached mat.

Really cant take off the mat since its glued, but when I peel it back I see the same discoloring

Thanks for confirming that I'm just being paranoid!

No such thing as being paranoid, just extra cautious ;) more than reasonable though when your filling a glass box with 65+ gallons of saltwater in your living room.
