I’ve order 2 aquaclear 110s off Amazon and both have showed up with cracks. The first one was totally unusable with a huge spider crack in the bottom. The replacement had a small crack where the lip is at the top for water return. Can’t feel the crack so think it’s internal but still disappointed. Anyone have issues with these this cracking easily? I’m a little nervous putting one on my tank if they crack easily

Nope. I have 4 and none came cracked or feel brittle.
Aquaclear are the best. Sounds like an amazon shipping issue.
Most LFS + petco/petsmart should carry this line for an uncracked box lol.

I got to agree with saltyreef I have 5-6 aquaclear 110 setting on the shelf from switching fresh tanks to salt used them for years with no issue. I would just go to Petco or PetSmart like salty said. might be a few bucks more but you can open the box up right there & make sure it's good.

Wow, I am surprised to hear this. I would by an aquaclear any day of the week. I bought a 55 used (so it was already a couple years old) and it's been rock solid for five years with me. I bought a second one new as a backup from Petsmart. I haven't had to use it so the only time the box has been opened was to check that it was intact, which it was. Did you buy it from Hagen on Amazon or was it a reseller?

Yeah they were off Amazon but manufacturer was Hagen. I’ll try petco or pet smart. Same price as Amazon

That's the best/easiest way to do it that way all you have to do is check the box to make sure it's intact and you're good to go! :-)

I had an Aquaclear motor go bad after 2 years, but admittedly without ever hardly cleaning it. I bought a replacement that I dropped and didn't realize got a small hairline fracture. My first Major disaster 2 years into the hobby was my tank leaking down to the filter intake level on the fluval overnight via a small drip out the back of the filter. About 10 gallons
Lol anyways i superglued the small Crack on both sides and the filter worked fine.

I wouldn't keep one that came cracked though.
