I got a second hand Trigger Systems sump, and the first baffle has a pretty sizable crack and the edge of the baffle isn't fully secured to the wall of the sump. Can I glue this up with some super glue? Or is it better to use some kind of solvent or silicone or something?

Here's a photo...

I would use super glue, and let it sit for a few days afterwords. Silicone doesn't adhere to plastic or acrylic very well as it does on glass.

Don't use super glue.
Pick up some weld on. You can find it places such as tap plastics or you can order some. Various types are available, usually different thicknesses. It will bond the acrylic back together. Seriously don't use super glue.

Thank you. What thickness do you recommend?

weldon 16 is just weld on 4 with acrylic shavings in it. use the weld on 4.. it will melt the acrylic and make it one piece again.

buy one of the needle applicators. apply to all the edges and seam that your going to repair. wait about 10 seconds and push into place. then squirt a little more on the seams. you can just hold it tight with your hands for about a minute.

done.

also.. clean it up with rubbing alcohol first.

and yes.. the weld on 4 will spill all over. DO NOT WIPE IT OFF! It is melting the acrylic and if you wipe it..it will make a huge, permanent smear. it will evaporate in about 2 minutes.

have fun. the key is just enough pressure to make the joint look clear. if you push them together to hard you push the solvent out of the seam.
