First thing first. I purchased a new Coralife Biocube 29gl about a month ago. Purchased a bunch of supplies for it. Spent a total of around $600 including the DIY stand just to get it up and running. I'm now 4 weeks exactly into it.
I got on the app letgo and typed in coral (looking for coral frags for sale) and nothing came up but women's clothes. So I typed in fish tank.
Searching through the tanks for sale I come across a 29gl Oceanic Biocube, including sand and rock. It also had a hob filter that rested on the inside of the tank and runs from the second chamber? Anyway, they were asking $50 obo. You could obviously tell the tank hasn't been running in a while.
I got the tank for $40 without the sand. (Wanted to do black sand)
The tanks hood doesn't appear to have the bulbs for the lighting.
Was thinking what a great time to do a topless tank.
Now my question is, what light can I purchase for it that will rest on the top of the tank or clip on?
Not to worried about how good it is due to it will more then likely just be a fowlr tank.
Also with all the money I have forked over into my 29g Coralife Biocube, I'm trying to keep this as cheap as possible.
AGAIN - I do not care how strong the lights are.
Just care to have some nice daylight and moonlight.
Prefer leds.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
