Hey guys,

Found this on my local craigslist for $15, is this what I need to make water at home? I'm currently using tap water, but don't tell anyone.

Looks like a great deal. Expect to buy new filters and it looks like your di cartridge isn't refillable so you'll have to buy a separate container for di

Which one is the DI? What do you mean separate container for DI?
The di cartridge is on top and I don't believe it can be opened and replenished.

You'll need another separate cartridge like the 3 main ones on the bottom which you will fill with di resin. Brs has the cartridges.

But like I said, that's a great deal!

ok, so it's definitely worth getting and trying to figure out what it needs? I think $15 is a pretty dang good deal. This picture is from the craiglist posting, I'm going to get it tonight.

Go for it! Maybe they can test it to show it doesn't leak?

Can I replace the DI cartridge at the top with a container that is refillable to keep it all contained into a single unit? I have a 3d printer so I can make just about any kind of bracket to mate the new DI to the top of the unit?

Not sure how you can tell that it is a DI filter on top. I would have assumed it was a taste and oder filter for drinking water since there is a pressure tank also.

Could be, doesn't matter. Either way a di cartridge should be added

That filter on top is probably an in-line carbon filter.

Take a look for DI: https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/bulk...reverse-osmosis-accessories/upgrade-kits.html

I'd recommend the dual DI. It ends up saving money in the long run because you won't have to throw out DI before its completely exhausted.
Its worth mentioning that they come filled up which is a $25 value so the dual canister itself really works out to about $35.

Can you link me to what a di cartridge looks like?
Hey check out the brs & MD videos on this stuff, it covers everything you need to know. GL
