Cranky female bite?

My clownfish pair have been together since birth. One has grown increasingly in size and aggression. I have seen a bite mark on a human hand after being bitten by a clown and I’m pretty sure it looks like what I see on the smaller clown. She has been hitting him in that spot. I just want to be sure he hasn’t picked up something else. What’s everyone’s thoughts. You can see it under his first dorsal.

You could try temporarily hanging a mirror on one side to see if you can de-escalate things. In terms of the damage to the side of the clownfish, I'm not sure.

As the larger ones becomes more mature, it's becoming female and laying own the smack on the smaller male. It's just how clownfish hierarchy goes.

It often subsides after a while, although she will always be the dominant one with some aggression to the smaller male. The aggression at times can lead to the larger female killing her smaller male partner, but that is not the typical case.

Just keep an eye on the aggression. You may have to remove one if you notice the smaller male not eating and getting a rough look to him.

Hard to tell from the pic, but if you have seen them fighting, it's more then likely just a bite mark.
