My 20G nano is breeding limpets like crazy. There has to be over a hundred in there. They aren’t causing any issues but what do you guys think leave them to eat algae or remove them?

There’s some algae visible in spots, been working on deep cleaning the substrate a little to try and control it better but it’s not excessive. Have a bunch of SPS all doing well so I guess I’ll just let it go.IDK. They have to be eating something.
I feel your paid. They multiply with higher nutrients like everything else. I brought some in on gulf live rock.My 20G nano is breeding limpets like crazy. There has to be over a hundred in there. They aren’t causing any issues but what do you guys think leave them to eat algae or remove them?

That’s probably where I got them as I did start with gulf live rock. I think my wrasses keep them in check in my main tank but the clowns don’t eat them.I feel your paid. They multiply with higher nutrients like everything else. I brought some in on gulf live rock.
One thing I hated about them is that they stick to the bottom of rocks. I had loose rocks that I moved around to siphon under and every time I grabbed one…it was stuck to the glass. They really ticked me off. I kept sucking them up during water changes or maintenance and finally put a huge dent in their numbers. I think at the end I was close to eradicating the entire population.
Just start sucking them up. A good pair of tweezers works well too. That’s probably where I got them as I did start with gulf live rock. I think my wrasses keep them in check in my main tank but the clowns don’t eat them.
wow do wrasses eat them?Get a wrasse or two.
Well this tank is too small to add any more fish. I do have wrasses in my 75G that has some of the same rock and few if any limpets so maybe?wow do wrasses eat them?
