I get Coraline bushes. They pop up all over my tank in various spots. This is not mine but what it looks like.

Thats crazy, looks like montipora's all over the place. I had not ideal that it did that.

When you stop messing with your tanks a lot good stuff happens. People mess with their tanks too much and stop things from happening. I have seen people that had wonderful tanks and barely did anything too them.

I think it came in on rocks years ago. Probably around 10-15years.

I had a friend who had some. He said it started after adding a frag many years ago.

I think it's cool too. I have some coraline algae that is plating. No where near to that extent. Some of the coraline algae is in various shades to and almost red color.
Anyway, it seems that I get a burst of coraline algae if I dose a bit of PurpleUp. Not sure of what all is in Purple Up, but my tank seems to like it.

It would be interesting to know his water parameters. I have seen a few tanks with coraline "dripping" of the rocks but never understood what was unique about those set ups to grow it like that.

I don't know what my parameters are but I have plating coraline and I have my hands in my tank a fair bit. I don't monitor anything. I just do religious water changes every week. 10%. And it starting to grow in places I guess I don't access very often
