Just added this guy last week. Is it normal form them to try to jump from tanks? Luckily I have a fully enclosed canopy, but scared the crap out of me twice in the middle of the night. For such a small fish…maybe 4”, sounded like a large mouth bass and rushed to the tank to find water dripping down the front of the glass. You know how it is as reefers…you always have that fear in the back of your mind of some sort of catastrophe. Luckily I remember my son telling he saw him jump up and hit the side of the canopy the other day. Do they stop as they get settled???

Normal behavior.
I have tried keeping them over the years but every single one has jumped out of my tank at one time or another.
I have screens over my tank, still managed to jump out between opening on screens and find them on the floor.
You are 110% correct, they crazy lol!
