Lights just coming on and I notice a 14" long tentacle. I was wondering why the Ricordea were disappearing.

Its a neat coral, but i will never own one again. It is the most aggressive, hardy, and p.i.t.a coral you can get in the hobby in my opinion. I have seen it sting corals over a foot and half away from it. At least you were smart and put it in the sand bed. If you put it on the rockwork and it has a chance to encrust and spread, good luck getting rid of it.

They do make placement a challenge for sure.
