Never seen this before. Any ideas?

The honey comb type thing in the hammer that appears to wrap around/branch off to the lower left.

Colonial ascidians?

Something like Botryllus or Botrylloides?

I culture Botryllus in my lab and I can say they need a lot of phytoplankton and integration in diet to proliferate. I don't know which species it is. As far as I know they are not pests
