So this is my 3 am notification. What could have happened for pH to suddenly drop to 6.14??? Is there something I should quickly do or check? Is this doom and gloom?

I'm pretty new to Apex, so I don't have much experience with troubleshooting technical issues (which I hope this is)

When was the last time you calibrated the probe?
Your pH is pretty low. What's your alk and do you dose?

The whole Apex is has only been set up for a couple months. I calibrated the probe when I set it up. It seems odd that it would plummet unprovoked, doesn't it?

I would prefer the pH to be higher. The tank is in the basement of an AC'd house. I just figured we were breathing too much.

I keep alk at 7.0-7.2 and check it daily. I don't dose much yet, as the tank is a 150 gallon + 55 fuge + 75 sump and mostly just small SPS frags. Just manual 2 part when needed.

My guess is your probe isnt even in water. Thats the only time ive ever seen mine look like that and realized i forgot to turn on the ATO after a water chage.

I've had the Apex temp. probe, go bad.

I have my apex set up for 5 month after calibrated. Ph always showing 7.2-7.6.
Soo I go to brs buy a new calibration test agian. Came out before that taste make me dosing kals. Soo few coral die form ph port fail. After contact apex make a appointment with then. Requires new ph flue ph 7.01 and 10.01. Than they will helps you make sure is ph port broke or the main wifi brains. Try contact them first before doing extra work.

First pic is before they fix the ph port
