Crazy Snail

I have a Giant snail who at least once a day cleans off all the return nozzles in my EVO. The problem is it is so big it is like putting your thumb over a garden hose and shoots the water straight up onto the lid. Thank goodness I do not have a screen. However every time it makes my jump to hear water flowing all the sudden:

Does anyone else have this issue or is my snail just a little crazy.

Mine do this too, but on my hob refugium. I can always tell when I can hear the water being diverted. since mine in on the hob, it doesnt spray thankfully like yours.
