I have the strangest thing going on in my tank. My pencil urchin that I've had for close to a year is covered in green hair algae to the point where he just looks like a fuzzy ball. You can barely even distinguish the fact that he has spines. This has just happened within the last few weeks. My water parameters seem ok....I am on top of water changes, about 15% weekly in a 65gal cube.
Temp 79
Salinity 1.025
Nitrate 0
Phosphate .02
Calcium 460
Alk 4.0 (I know, a bit high)
Nothing else in the tank has this kind of algae growth on it, and my water is crystal clear....
Should I be worried? This seems SO strange to me that he is the only thing in the tank with al this algae.....anyone else ever have this issue?
