Creating a frag rack

I made a 3 tier frag rack out of white eggcrate and pvc for my soon to be frag tank. My question is what do I use to attach the pvc to the crate?

Just drill some holes in the PVC and use zip ties.

I have always used the drill and zip tie method.

I used loc tite on my egg crate and PVC rack and zip ties on my all egg crate rack.

Couldn't you cut slits in the tops and bottoms of the pvc pieces so the egg crate kinda pushes into the slits? I have never made one so I don't actually know just looking at several and always thought that might work.

I cut cross hatch slots where it would set flush with top of crate and used aquarium safe silicone to glue it together on one I made in the past.

I was gonna suggest the same thing. I just saw this somewhere just can't find it. Four slits that the eegcrate will slide into. On another note, whenever I've used white eggcrate I have had a problem with it and algae. I read somewhere that it may leach phosphates.

I've heard this as well and then I've also heard just as many success stories so I figured id try my luck. If it doesn't work then I'll go with the black
