And many of our followers, and clients will tell you the same. Even R2R @joshporksandwic
has one of our original tanks he then upgraded another!

We believe Habitat Set -Up is key and is so important when building a tank that will be functioning and enjoyable with little to no maintenance, minimal water changes and using a closed system. We utilize our own " Natural Coral Panels, Reef Heads, Centerpieces as well as Coral Holders and Separators to get our results and promote a healthy natural thriving eco-system. By doing so it allows for mixing of all marine species ( fish, corals, invertebrates and crustaceans.)
This is all very possible and the size of the tank doesn't matter.
From small 5 gallon Nano Tanks to extra large 1500 gallon tank you too can have a self sustaining efficient aquarium habitat.

When looking at these pictures and videos of the tank you will notice from
the beginning 6 years ago when we first set up the tank to just a few days ago in the video.

The corals have grown beautifully and the tank is " super healthy" !

Many people expect permanent protein recycling as a key aspect of self sustenance (don't have to feed or export) and thats never been done in any reef tank
We will always be putting something in, or taking something out, or buying time for finite protein recycling to stop and die (sealed eco spheres of the late 90s)

What is the way you deal with protein in, waste out, perhaps there's something more efficient at work and that would be neat to review. Especially on the 5 gallon nanos,we track the age ranges for those across the entire web for years, thats a hard range to get improvements on very curious to know how biology was harnessed or chem to make things simpler for the small ones

I like how the corals are raised up for circulation etc those are neat adjusts

@brandon429 there is not a waste problem in our tanks because our sub straits stay clean due to sand plenum filtering. We also use the coral panels into our tanks or instead of rock formations to keep waste off the ground and circulation freely flowing. We do this in any size tank.

That does sound different than typical setups that are catch and retain all, sounds neat. An improved access to waste for dealings, nice.
