Hey everyone,
Every day I need to turn off my skimmer to dose Red Sea AB+ and I've come up with an idea to compensate for my laziness. I want to add a switch to the wire of the pump so that I can turn on/off the pump w/o having to unplug it, for reference, this is my pump, and this is the switch that I think might work given the voltage of the pump and design of the switch. Let me know what you guys think, I don't want to go riping through the wires of my pump just to destroy it. Thanks!

Why not just get a wifi controllable outlet? I use the Kasa smart outlets and love them, then you can turn it off and on with your phone and don’t even have to flip a switch.

That's not a bad idea, I'll have to look into getting one, but I think adding the switch will look cool and it costs less. But if I can find an affordable controllable plug then I'll just use that instead.

I found an old Alexa Plug in my junk drawer and I made it work, thanks for the idea!
