I'm going to have a 80 gallon rimless setup 36" x 36" x 14" and I'm trying to plan everything beforehand. I don't want any of the equipment to be seen at all since it's going right in the middle between the kitchen and living room. There will be clear glass on all 4 sides with no sides painted black. Are there any tanks you know of with a similar design I could base it off of? I was thinking of having the tank drilled from below to have 4 return jets coming from the sandbed which I could hide with live rock around the return jets. I'm thinking this could maintain flow pretty well but would be difficult to deal with them stirring up the sandbed. These would ideally have a unidirectional valve so I wouldn't get backflow into the sump should they stop working. I'm not sure exactly where to put the overflow if there's a way to hide it... I could potentially put it in the middle, but you would still be able to see it. Any thoughts or does anyone know of a similar setup where people have everything hidden extremely well? The lights will be coming from the ceiling.
