Fellow reefer gave me a small pinky size acropora frag some months ago. Wasn't very remarkable specimen, but it was free and I can always grow it out and trade it.

Sat on my back frag rack for a couple months being a speed bump for turbo snails. Not very good light or flow, but my tanks are small and I'm running out of space. I didn't have a space for it and only had a 2x2" spot for it, but I also wanted to get it higher in better light. Dug through my junk drawer...and found the perfect solution. Shot glass.

Been mounted on it a week and the little guy has colored up, got great PE and growing. Not sure if its the location or his cool mount 8-)

I had a couple zoa frags that were really big - frag rack hogs. I filled up a couple of those condiments cups that come with lids ... you know, they have them at Five Guys for ketchup.... anyway, I filled them with sand so they did not float, cut a hole in the lids and VOILA.... frag holders.

If you know someone close with a 3d printer, they can print you out some of these. They are not weighted so I burry them in the substrate. Still keeps the frags off the bottom. You can also glue these holders to your rock and you can just move the frag around once you are ready to glue it down.

There is a reefer on here that actually advertises those! I almost pulled the trigger last week but life got in the way. He also makes these little "sticks" that hold the frag plug but you can wedge the small stick part into a crevasse if it is too small to hold the stem of the frag plug.
Since then, my husband has learned how to put live rock on a drill press with a mortar bit. He just took a piece of rock I had in mt betta fish tank and drilled 7 holes for me. That is seasoning in the 90 now. When I start doing rock transfer from tank to tank, he is planning on turning the other rocks into swiss cheese for me, too.
Best part was he had fun doing it!!
Now, I just need to figure out where to put the frags coming today ..... LOL
