Creative ideas for extra 5gallon ato tank?

So I got tired of filling my 5 gallon crystal ato from trigger.. just was in a hard to fill spot as well as didn’t last very long (my anxiety of watching it deplete made me fill it daily..)

anyways so I made a new one out of a dog food container and love it holds about 15 gallons

Now I’m thinking what am I going to do with my ato reservoir. It’s tucked quite well into the corner of my tank. Should I get a little pump and run water into and out of it ( backup fuge / additional space for live rock?) too risky? Lol

Any ideas will be great. Maybe I’ll just leave it and not look at it..

You could always take the Rube Goldberg approach and use the 15g ATO to top off the 5g ATO to top off the tank! ;Smuggrin

Just remember that you get bonus points for using a mousetrap or dominos in between ATOs! ;Smug

Seriously though, I have a sump with a built in ATO so I have already thought through this issue with limited alternate solutions. Although it is not really a concern for me, I will be interested to hear the other suggestions and see what you come up with. Good luck!

I originally thought to throw live rock in there and a few pump from the ato to the sump and then run a line from my manifold to my ato... extra water space

maybe put my uv in the ato??
