I have a aquatic life 4 stage 50ghd rodi that has a threaded fitting for going over garden hose spouts I have a really cold and a really hot water spot so I have to combine the two with a Y that sometimes leads to one side rushing up the other and causing the valve to leak so I need to fabricate something that will allow a cold and hot water input to combine to a mixer that cannot be pushed back to the valves

If that is what you want to do what you need is a mixing valve.

Just use the cold. I'm not sure what impact using warm water would have on the resins and the membrane of the RO itself. Perhaps none ... but heat causes things to expand and also to dissolve at a faster rate. Stick with cold... no worries.

Use cold water and when you mix salt add a heater to bring up temp.
The time is takes to raise your salt mix temp is probably a good thing, since you want the salt well mixed before you use it.

Be careful using any hose with HOT water alway under pressure.
Rubber, Vinyl hoses will deteriorate much faster under hot water than cold

That is why it's recommended to replace your washing machine Hot Water Hose, every 5 years, so it doesn't burst and flood your house.

In your setup with the Y connector, when the Hot Water Hose fails, both Hot and Cold will run continuously. Could lead to damage, and a HUGE water Bill if it happens when you are not around.

I know since my kids once left a garden hose open in the backyard. I discovered it a few days later when the grass was a swamp. The Next Water Bill was astronomical!!!

Wow great input everyone thanks

Don’t use hot water if only for the fact you’ll burn through filter media quicker. Your hot water is typically a lot dirtier than your cold from the time it spends in the heater.

Hot water will KILL a membrane.
I have used an inline heater in the past to get better output.
