hello everyone.
I'm new with saltwater tanks. Just started my new tank this weekend and I already found a creature on the live rock I bought from the store (a reputable store, and the live rock is "Indonesia premium")

What can this be?

It's very small and with two long feather like tentacles. They're transparent and it seems to only come out at night. Found it while inspecting the tank with a flashlight.

Thank you and please let me know if it is dangerous. I feel a bit overwhelmed with so much info and so...

Adding a (bad) drawing of the thing. Sorry for my lack of artistry :D

But is it ok to have in the tank or should I try to remove it?
I tagged the experts for an ID.

Most stuff from the wild doesn't last long in our tanks. Enjoy it while you have it.
I'm doing some googling for you.

Thank you so much!

I may have found the name:

So..good/not good? I hope I'm not unlucky. I mean, I'm just starting, I don't need a plague :/

I've hadn't one similar. I'd don't hang around long and never multiplied.

My self , I love that stuff.

Almost certainly a ctenophore, so you're on the right track with Coeloplana!

Ctenophores use a sort of glue to trap planktonic prey, so my guess would be that it'll prove to be a mostly harmless, if short-term guest.

Welcome to Reef2Reef, by the way!

Tank you for your replies!
Well, it was exciting to see something in the tank - even if it won't last long. I'm in the beginning so I have to wait until it cycles. Patience is the key, just like in freshwater.
I plan to add some invertebrates by the end of next month, if all goes well with the water quality.

So, the new housemate was gone this morning... I wonder where it hides during daylight ;Watching

I'll try to make a small video this evening.

(Thank you all for the answers and the warm welcome!)

Been trying all week to find it... nothing. I have no idea where it is. I was even up last night (at 3am!!) with my flashlight. No signs of the little fellow.

Look around the base of any Leather Corals/Toadstools.
