I was plugging up a new MP40 last night and accidentally knocked the top off hose off the sump. When the water level set off the sensor, the pump kicked on and ran for three minutes, then defaulted off (thanks Tunze for that handy feature). My daughter discovered a huge pool of water on the floor. I panicked, of course, having just replied to the thread abt the broken tank. I found the problem, cleaned the mess and then started thinking.

I got a new Apex for Christmas. I have the ATO plugged into the pre-programmed outlet for ATO. As best as I can tell, Apex set it to turn off if the Salinity goes below a certain level. What I want it to do, is turn off if the ATO runs for more than 30 seconds. Can anyone tell me what the code is?

I don’t think you can using the Tunze because it’s got to be ‘on’ all the time as the Tunze ATO sensors control themselves internally and pump/stop water when necessary

I know exactly what you mean, but how will Apex now Tunze is pumping water (short of installing fancy flow meters on the end of the outflow tube) ?

I’m guessing here but the Apex preprogrammed port is for something like a DIY ATO system with float switches/pumps plugged into it so Apex is controlling it all. You like me, just have the Tunze plugged into Apex as a stand alone system effectively.

Mine is plugged in just so I can turn it off if needed and it’s also connected to a leak detector to cut it off if need be.

Hopefully this makes sense, but if anyone knows differently I’m very interested to learn
