Hey R2r, have this little fellow I saw chilling on a V.snail last night slithered over a few inches over the night.
Wat is it ? kinda resembles

a. starfish tentacle but maybe a some alien slug that's out to get me o_O
 
Looks like an Asterina starfish. There are species that are nonsymetrical, so they can look different from the prototypical starfish.

This is a watch and see affair, as Asterina is a genus of starfish with many species. Some are reef safe, others will eat coral. In general, if you see them hanging out on the corals or if you spot random areas of die-off on any of your corals, consider getting them out. Otherwise, they are pretty harmless...
