This is what im thinking for the aquascape on my 6ft 150 gallon tank.
I wanted to make sure to would provide enough hiding spots and things for the fish. I'm not sure if this does that but it was the best i could come up with that looked good..
What do you guys think?

I like it. I'll be starting my rockscape in Feb for my 125. will be interested to see it in the tank with the sides and back and depth

I prefer a "front to back rock build" instead of a "straight line effect". The rock you have allows for some great building, easy to work with as well. I try as well to keep as much of my rock from sitting flat on the bottom of the tank as possible, allows for great water flow under and around your aquascape.

What’s up Rick!

The first pic is a side pic, left side is the front of the tank, kinda low - medium - higher. The second pic is a front shot kinda showing that you can almost see to the back of my tank from the front. Great work though, hammer/flat tip screwdriver/chisel/dremel with a bit and have at it, you can make more caves and domes pretty easy. Good luck

You could stagger some of the rocks using epoxy/reef cement and create the caves and even some swim throughs for the fish.

Hey Hey, great to hear from you - I heard as well that the move went down south went pretty well!!!

It did Rick. All settled in and just ordered my new tank and all equipment, rock etc.

Beautiful rock. Might incorporate some flat Tonga shelf rock. Makes for great shadow areas for fish and shady spots to acclimate a coral to the light or place it there when it’s not looking well for a break from the light.

You have a lot of nice rock there. Search the forum for aquascape threads. There are some really good ones that will teach you well. Take your time and keep working at it till you are VERY happy with it, as you will have to like it for a long time! And so will your fish!

Take out the middle section for a large swim through. People read left to right so make the left tower larger than the right. Think about how big your fish will get and them having to shimmy around all the rock, possibly knocking over corals, and having them break. Fish get big and clumsy. Also, consider where your powerheads will go for flow. You don’t want any dead spots and with a solid wall it may be more difficult to create the water turbulence you’re after. It’s tempting to really fill the tank with rock because we don’t want an empty tank at first, but big colorful fish will also eventually be the star of the show as well. Just my 2 cents.

This is using all 150 lbs i need tho and i dont have room in sump for any

Looks nice to me Bthomas, the reality is you need to like it. If you are planning on stocking larger fish maybe separating it would be a good idea but im sure before you grow any fish out to be really large you will have changed this a few times lol! Cheers man, that will be a beautiful tank!

The advice that others gave is good. You could remove a few of the rocks in the middle in order to create two islands with an open lagoon in the middle. One island should be taller than the other to draw the eye to it. Something like that. Go with what makes you happy 'cause chances are that you will change things up after a few months. This is a tinkering kind of hobby.
