Hello everyone
New to the forum and new to the saltwater hobby but have kept Freshwater for the past 10 years.

Woke up this morning to find the glass of my aquarium covered in copepods which I believe to be a good thing? Please correct me if wrong?

But amongst them was a critter significantly bigger with a sort of spiky body and antennas and a pointy tail?

Can someone I. D this for me please? And is it a problem

Cheers

Looks like a nudibranch. Some are good, some bad. Maybe some pics from top down on it would help others identify the exact type.

Very good thing.

It looks quite a bit like a Berhgia nudibranch to me. Great if you have aptasia, otherwise it wont have anything to eat, but harmless to the rest of your tank if that is what it is.

I agree it does look similar but larger than any I have had.

It is a nudibranch and they all eat something. It hitchhiked into the tank from some rock or coral that is-- or was proximate to -- something they like to eat. Keep it in mind for next time.

I would take risks to get live rock in my system, but with corals they all get dipped. I learned the hard way about coral pests.

Yeah it must have came in on some recent coral additions.
I do dip my corals on acclimation but I'm not too impressed with the coral dip I'm using (aquaforrest) think I will purchase some coral RX?

I find it effective for most corals. Can be harsh on SOME acropora so I prefer potassium chloride for those.
