Critter ID - Filter Sock

Last few times I've cleaned my filter socks I've found these small live "bugs". What are they?

Amphipod Gammarid

Like said above is correct..there good for the tank..eat left overs of every thing and help with different types of algae and can be eaten by fish which is perfectly fine
