Poriferan sponge. May grow larger. If it becomes a nuisance, inject it with vinegar or air or hot water via syringe.
Then trim away with a hobby knife

that's just a sponge, perfectly safe hitchhiker. Be careful though, some sponges have spines so try not to grab it directly.

Its protocol. You dont want to go cutting and release toxins and other foreign substance. Being in Healthcare, there is a reason Humans get shots for everything . . . LOL
