Anyone have any idea what these critters could be growing all over my chaeto and glass of my refugium???
they’re sort of slug like and they move very slowly, some of them don’t move not sure if they’re eggs of some sort.

I added the pod mix 5280 from algae barn about a month ago if that makes a difference

If that's what came out of Algae Barns 5280 3-pod type bottle, I'd be having quite a discussion with them. When did you add the chaeto... and where did you get it? Maybe this was already in the chaeto?

Flatworm retrogemma . I suggest siphoning out as many as possible as they release toxins when killed with flatworm exit.

Definitely flatworms smh, I went back and checked my aquarium logs and I got frags in around the same time I added the copepods. Although I dipped the frags I can’t say for sure I didn’t bring any over on the frags.

I just left my lfs picking up flatworm exit, I’m going to try to remove a lot by hand/turkey baster. I think I’m going to take the refugium offline and treat it separately from the display tank as I believe my file fish and six line wrasse keep the flatworms in my display at bay. Any thoughts on this?

Why not move either of the fish to the sump temporarily to see if they can help out before you nuke the tank

How is progress? Are you fish little fatties?

Flat worms are a bummer. Instead of using a baster try some rigid airline tubing + some airline hose to make a mini-sized siphon. It will change your life compared to a baster battling these jokers.

Wishing you the best of luck!
