I dip everything that I bring home. There are many on the glassLol love the pictures. Definitely looks like some sort of flatworm. If there is one... there are many, many more. Did you add any corals or frags recently? Do you inspect and dip the corals?
Any idea how to get rid of them?Looks like a flatworms; but not the devour your SPS type.
While hard to tell from the pics, they don’t appear to be the harmful kind, just the very annoying kind. In low numbers just not pretty, in high numbers can smoother corals.
I tend to agree. There would have to be literally millions to make me worry about this guy and I would worry if I had millions of anything in the tank. They don't even seem to be the annoying kind to me. The annoying kind are reddish-yellow, and that is a clear one.
I'd say it's a totally harmless representation of tank biodiversity.
Ok thanks for the infoWhile hard to tell from the pics, they don’t appear to be the harmful kind, just the very annoying kind. In low numbers just not pretty, in high numbers can smoother corals.
-You can add a fish that will eat them
-You can siphon out as many as you can during a water change.
-You can then use Flatworm Exit. If you use Flatworm Exit you will need water on hand for a water change and carbon. When they are killed off, they will pollute the tank which in high enough concentrations is toxic to your inhabitants.
So if you are going to use medication, siphon out as many as you can first, follow directions on the doseage and then do another water change and run the carbon (all this will also be in the instructions of the treatment).
