Cleaning out sock filter and this was in one of the socks. Looks kinda like a shrimp of some kind, Anyone seen one of these in a tank and know what it is?

Amphipod. Good guys! Act as food for fish and are good scavengers.

Great, it is a fat one like size of a small tick. I saw it in the bottom of the sock and was taken aback by it's size

I was just looking this up also!! I was afraid that somehow a baby mantis shrimp got in there lol.
