I never said anyone should keep unwanted pests, but I don't agree at all with the "blowtorch" approach to this hobby!Aiptasia is bad, hydroids are bad. Period. Let’s not give new folks the idea that unwanted pests are ok to keep just long enough for them to multiply and then have the OP make a new thread about why their corals are dying.

I did dip the coral when I brought it home just did the one dip though. Maybe I will dip it again tomorrow and then see what happensOP, do you happen to dip your corals? If not might be a good practice to start. It’ll help with a large percentage of pests, not all but most.
