Saw these on the base of my zoa frag. How should I deal with it?

#Welcome to Reef2Reef! I wish it were under different, happier circumstances.

What am I suppose to see? I don't see anything. Maybe a better photo? Closer and under white light? And at least some kind of description of what you see.

Thanks.

Sorry about that. I was using my phone to do the post, so probably not that clear.
There are three small greenish thing around the base of the zoa. I will try to get a picture with white light.

You can try a syringe with boiling water or just lemon juice. If the problem gets out of hand aptasia x might work..they multiply quick so act fasr

Those are Not aptasia but typical hydroids around zoa
They are capable of stinging various coral
Best way to eradicate is to starve them but due to location you starve the hydroids
I would apply a small dab of gel super glue over the top of them or with kalkwasser powder mixed into a paste and using a pipette- smother them

These are often confused with aptasia
Here is one type of many. Some are colonial, jellyfish like and more

Ah..It sure looks like hydroids. I will try to glue them up and see how it goes first then. thanks all.
