Hi all,

I was just getting ready to do a water change and I saw hundreds of these in my pico tank. They are about the side of a pin head and smaller. I apologize for the poor quality images. I can try and get better ones, but I only have my phone with a lens attachment, and these are so small that I have to digitally zoom in until I reach potato quality.

For some background, I was away from home for about two weeks and came back to a small-scale issue. My gravity fed ATO had run out of water while I was away and my water params were a bit out of whack. Sadly, I ended up losing my clam which had been doing great prior. As part of this, I started to get algae as well. I have been doing water changes and added an in-tank UV to try and kill off the algae, but it has been pretty stubborn. I was just getting ready to do another round of cleaning on the tank and saw these. I didn't see them at all yesterday, but I was looking at the tank during mid-day light. My lighting is now on early evening, and these were all over the glass. They have a spiral shape and they have fan-like filters.

Anyone have any ideas what they could be? I may be thinking incorrectly but because they appear to be filter feeders, I am assuming they are harmless. Can folks confirm/correct as appropriate? Thanks!
