Some fish may eat them, yes - but they have a tougher shell (more like snails or crabs), unlike most other pods which have soft shells (more like shrimp), so not every fish will.

Potentially, yes, though maybe not as well as things like clam shells (if for no reason other than the small size).

It does look like a ostracods but it's sooo small it's hard to tell. Thanks
