Crooked Coris Wrasse

Hey guys I got this new coris wrasse for my tank and after adding him he was doing fine, suddenly on the 4th day I see him swim weird and noticed that he is bent

it may have hit itself on glass/rock when spooked and darting around the tank. i don't believe there is any cure/remedy for that.

can it still swim/eat?
do you have any pictures/videos?

These fish are prone to spinal injuries from either slamming into the bottom of the tank or darting into something while swimming. Do you have any images? It may heal on its own or it may be permanent

Well that’s the thing, this fish was completely healthy in the store and it was fine till like 48 hours back and now suddenly it’s bent. This fish has been in my aquarium for like 4 or 5 days only.

May have gotten spooked and slammed into something hard. How deep is your sand bed? These guys dive into the sand when scared. Shallow sand bed is like diving head-first into an empty pool.

well it’s like 2 inches in some places and about 0.25 inch in other places

I also have a leopard wrasse which is doing completely fine

Also had a moon wrasse and checkerboard wrasse before which I had to remove those were fine as well

You're completely overlooking what everyone is telling you.

Your wrasse got spooked, darted in a direction at full speed, only to encounter solid glass.

In such an event, the wrasse suffered a spinal injury and more than likely will succumb to the injury.

Your other wrasses are fine because they haven't ran into the glass.

This is common.

Sorry to see this. To start that isn’t a Cori’s wrasse. Most fish sellers don’t know what they are selling sadly. That said great fish.
As of now watch of it gets better. Watch to see if it keeps eating. Important to see if it can bury in the sand to sleep.
Hard to say what is wrong as a few options but probably injury.
What other fish you have?

In such an event, the wrasse suffered a spinal injury and more than likely will succumb to the injury.

Your other wrasses are fine because they haven't ran into the glass.

This is common.

That’s the problem I think it’s having a hard time getting inside the sand.

Weak wrasse can’t bury. Did it bury before the problem?
My guess as of now your leopard wrasse is stressing the yellow and may have chased it and caused a spine injury.
Might be a different problem that can’t be treated nor do we have much info on it as it’s a newer problem. Yours doesn’t seem to be that. If you can get a video of it swimming that would help. Try not to hover the tank as people can stress new wrasse and that doesn’t help them settle.
I’m sorry to say there probably isn’t anything you can do for it at this point.

This looks more spinal and may be Unwnd which is a neurological condition that affects many wrasses including this type of fish courtesy Of Jay encounter UNWD which shows neurological symptoms where it either cannot swim well, swims tail down or swims with a bent spine and despite all this, the wrasse will still attempt to feed and display no damage such as crashing into objects. Other could be depending where fish is from, cyanide capture which is delayed but the fish ends up in this state
