crushed coral in sump?

Does any one put crushed coral in bottom of there sumps to help keep the ph in there tank?

I'm running a 100 gallon rubber maid sump and I was thinking of putting some in the bottom, I have a remote fuge so It would be there in the sump just for the ph.

I have aragonite in mine but almost wish I wouldn't have. I don't think it really helps the PH much. If you wanted to help PH with your sump I'd recommend running a CFL light over some chaeto on a reverse cycle of your display.
